Health Clinic

Women’s Group

Our on-site health clinic provides triage medical services to all our clients who have health concerns and acts as a link to primary care. Clinic hours are Wednesday between 4P.M. and 7P.M. We also do confidential HIV testing every other Wednesday from 4P.M. to 5P.M.

The women’s group is designed to help women empower themselves to successfully live independently. The women’s group is held every Monday at the shelter from 2P.M.-3:00P.M.

Case Management

Mental Heath Counseling

The case manager meets with clients to help assess their individual needs and make the appropriate referrals to local services. In addition, the case manager assists guests with applying for benefits and other services.

The mental health service provides assessment and evaluation as well as ongoing counseling for clients. Clients are seen by appointment unless there is an emergency. Our mental health services are Monday-Thursday 9A.M.-5P.M.

SERVICES

We are the stepping stone to independent living

Service Collaboration

We are committed to providing more than just a bed to our guests. Many people that come to us are unaware of the services that they may be eligible for. One of our priorities is to be active in the community so that we can stay on top of what resources are available to our guests. We coordinate with the psychiatric case manager at Salem Hospital and also the high risk medical services case manager from Union Hospital. We also work with the social work staff at both hospitals to coordinate appropriate care and services for our guests who are disabled physically or emotionally. Strongest link sends a HIV/STD’s case manager to meet with our guests on a weekly basis. Greater Lynn Senior Services help our senior guests with many services, from a hot breakfast to independent living. These outside agencies are invaluable assets to our guests. They help facilitate the services that are not readily available at the shelter.
